During the weeks of 21 September to the 3 October 2014, our Clinical Unit facilitated workshops at iiNet as part of their Drive Dry Campaign. The brief from iiNet was to make it an experience their employees will never forget, to make it fun and it needed to have impact. The Clinical Unit and NICRO Enterprise came up with a creative idea to live up to the brief and created a highly interactive and participatory game based on a combination of Trivial Pursuit and Monopoly.
This gave the facilitators a great understanding of individual attitudes and knowledge regarding drinking and driving, and they could challenge individuals on their attitudes and behaviours in a non threatening way because they were playing a game. The facilitators and participants had an absolute blast playing while learning and at the end of the day everyone agreed that it made a difference to individuals and their future thinking about drinking and driving.
Learning can be fun!
We received this letter from iiNet which says it all...
"On behalf of Merchants iiNet we would like to Thank you and the Team of NICRO for taking part in our Drive Dry Campaign and making it fun for us all.
This is a very important subject for our company as we host major events and we encourage our staff not to drink and drive.
All four sessions which were done by Arina and Ibtisaam at both Contact Centre Sites were fun and informative. I feel that this was a success as we still have staff talking about what they have learnt.
We trust that we can work together in the future in educating our staff and using your services and in doing so enabling a better quality of life.
